Matthew came to Niger to minister to local children through sports. He writes, “This has been an amazing experience, one that has been life-changing and one I will never forget. Through the experience I have seen my trust and strength in Christ grow tremendously.” Matthew also helped with other volunteers who worked in this village, mentored a young MK, and was a great encouragement to our five single Brazilian missionaries.
Living in a small Songhai village for two months, without electricity or running water or private transportation or Internet connection, in the middle of hot season is a defining experience, literally a “trial by fire”! Matthew says, “There were many challenges during my time in the village, but God provides and He definitely supplies. Whatever we are going through, we need to know that God is working for the good (Romans 8: 28).”
